This interview was difficult for me due to my longtime health concerns yet when others are interested in learning more about my experiences and nonfiction writings I try to be as elucidating as possible when identifying some of the key occurrences and predicaments that I've  been experiencing now for 69 years.  I certainly don't feel 'old.'  My conscious perceptivity in relation to interacting with the world around me has been an unvarying rational and lucid continuum where no actual 'change' in my 'personality' has ever been noticeable to myself.

 

As chronicled in a documentary-style succession of transcribed interview and journal audio recordings on microcassettes in the case study book Testament (1997), it was after my research expedition to interview a rural Oklahoma family experiencing 'talking poltergeist' phenomena that 'expansion of consciousness' was experienced upon my return home to Los Angeles.  This was the result of categorically 'paranormal' occurrences continuing to take place around me in my Echo Park condo.  From day to day the phenomena became more momentous through the gamut of situations.  Over the years, some distinct phases of phenomena are even discernible without there ever having been a time when any manner of diminishment or subsidence of phenomena became recognizable. 

My speech difficulties are more noticeable when talking at length and it was disturbing for me to witness the sound of myself when observing a few moments of the interview video at YouTube or listening at SoundCloud.  I didn't realize how my voice sounded while giving my commentary in answer to the questions.

I remember while serving for several years as caregiver for my mother how she would quip to strangers from her wheelchair, "Don't get old."  Obviously, us humans living my Christian principles don't have any certain choices in relation to the prospect of aging.  At the time when my health issues abruptly began nearly nine years ago, I'd never experienced any major health issues.  The cause has never been certain yet at some point my condition brought on Chronic Active Epstein-Barr Virus infection (CAEBV) — an ironic twist when one considers that I haven't kissed anyone since 1981.  Perhaps my employment at a local high school was a factor because this is a known factor of susceptibility.  The office where I worked was in the administration building, frequented the nurse's office and was in constant proximity with students.

 

My only overnight hospital stay was one night due to passing a kidney stone many years ago.  There have been a few Emergency Room trips, once for a cut and twice to inquire about my feet neuropathy.  Unfortunately, beyond the thyroid condition doctors have been unable to advise me about how to regain robust good health.  A few blog articles have offered commentary about my health issues.  (1, 2)  I remain grateful that I'm currently not at my worst of the interim that began in 2017 and have been having biannual consultations with both my primary care physician and neurologist.  I found that gastroenterologists couldn't offer much effective advice—there being such a wide variety of digestive difficulties—beyond the necessity of keeping a low-FODMAP diet.

 

I became a vegan not long after that life-changing summer of 1995.  My health tips for readers include praising the vitamin-rich cucumber among the fresh fruits and vegetables oneself should consume daily, along with nuts and beans.

 

My dismaying health condition has resulted with boosting the amount of my time given to writing blog articles and this includes updating a journal blog for more than three years, beginning in January 2021.

Regarding the subject of 'channeling' mentioned during the interview, this is what 'Lazaris' speaking through the entranced Jach Pursel once instructed:

 

We know there are those who claim to be able to teach you to channel.  Some can.  However, there is channeling and there is channeling.  You must differentiate.

There is subjective channeling.  Each of you can learn to channel FOR YOUR OWN BENEFIT — FOR YOUR OWN GROWTH.  Each person who is creative is actually or potentially channeling at least their innate or developed creativity!

 
Then there is objective channeling which is like the work that we and some others do.  You cannot take a class or even a "home study" course to develop this form of channeling.  Edgar Cayce and Jane Roberts, who were both objective channels like Jach, did not seek to do this work.  On a very deep level they gave permission, of course.  They did not consciously learn how to channel.  They were chosen — it just happened to them.

Subjective channeling — for your own growth — can be taught.  Objective channeling — for the benefit of all those who are touched — cannot be taught.  Hopefully, we make ourselves clear.
